Robert Adamo, founder and principal of Elevated Structures, LLC, has more than 15 years of experience in the residential and commercial building industry. He received his Bachelor of Architecture degree, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Tennessee in 1997 and received a subsequent Degree in Construction Management from New York University in 2000. He has practiced as a fully licensed Architect since 2002 and is currently a member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. Robert has been serving as a Zoning Board member for the Township of River Vale, NJ since 2004. He has been involved in the construction management of residential multifamily projects ranging from 150 units to over 850 units. Mr. Adamo has designed and constructed scores of numerous single-family homes from 1,800 to 8,400 square feet and participated in the project management of both mid-rise and town home projects. In the commercial sector, Mr. Adamo has designed a wide range of projects including a mid-level children’s apparel store, retail shopping centers, single family homes, and mid-sized office buildings. Additionally, he designed a 120 room hotel and 112 unit assisted living facility. His professional services include: design, consulting, administration, and construction. He has worked in various capacities in multiple states, including: New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. He is fully familiar with the approvals process, coordinating local city and municipal officials, engineering consultants, project proforma analysis and feasibility requirements including ancillary documentation. Robert also provides professional expert witness services in both architecture and construction to aid legal disputes. Kira McKeown-Adamo, co-founder of Elevated Structures, LLC began her construction experience during her study of Architecture over 15 years ago. After receiving her degree in Architecture, she began working in retail and commercial design, as well as small residential projects. Kira maintains a strong sense of responsibility to the environment and incorporates sustainable building methods and practices in project construction. She continues to choose environmentally-conscious building materials when possible as well as allergy/sensitivity-friendly paints, and finishes for clients with any special requirements. Soon after graduating, Kira began studying Environmental Psychology and plans to pursue a Masters in the field. She is currently working on her LEED certification. In 2012, Kira became a licensed Architect in the state of New Jersey and currently is a member of the American Institute of Architects, the Architects League of Northern New Jersey, New Jersey Women in Architecture, US Green Building Council, US Green Building Council New Jersey, and holds NCARB certification.
